Established in 2001, MITCOE has come to be known as the destination of choice for most aspiring women engineers, not only from Maharahstra, but also from the rest of India. MITCOE has evolved into a technology savvy mentor of women engineers. The vision for the 21st Century and the pragmatism shown by the management to turn that into a reality are palpable at every step, the moment you step into MITCOE campus.
A state-of-the-art infrastructure of international standards has been developed for each discipline of study that goes far beyond the stipulated requirement. We have very well planned laboratories built around a modular concept that simulates a near industry environment. Our IT infrastructure, comprising nearly 200 PCs and three state-of-the-art servers backed by professional System managers, is at par with the best in the country. With round the clock web access, our students can reach globally for enhancement of their knowledge and career.
Library:Our library facilities are equally notable. Here again, we have focused on quality rather than just quantity by incorporating some of the best reference books on a diverse range of technical and management subjects along with subscription to top technical journals. A fully Digital library with CD ROM servers is almost near completion and would further ease the student's access to knowledge on a wide range of subjects.
IT center:A centralized IT stores is available for students where they can purchase Floppies & CD’s at reasonable price.
The increasing student ownership of computers will be monitored and understood, so that better facilities and support can be offered, possibly leading to greater efficiency in central provision.The Information Services Division will manage and operate a Learning Resources Centre (Internet center, 1 st Floor, Shari Saint Dnyaneshwar World Peace Library), to provide an integrated learning environment for students and to rectify the shortfall in study place provision.
Hostel Facility
Students' accommodation in Pune is easier to find, cheaper to rent and more conveniently suited than in almost any other cities in the region. MIT owned two hostels are available, one each for male and female students. The Boys' Hostel is located in salubrious surroundings. It is a four-storied building having 20 rooms on each floor, providing accommodation for 240 students. A separate accommodation for ladies is also available in the 'Indrayani' building with a capacity of accommodating 80 girls. Both these hostels are at a walking distance of about ten minutes from the MIT campus and are situated on the southern side of the main Paud Road in a decent and safe locality.
Scholarship Facility
MITCOE offers scholarship and free ships to the deserving candidates in various categories. SC / ST / OBC / NT group are given free ships as per government norms. Scholarship for ward of secondary school teachers. Tuition fees waver are also available for the poor and deserving student at the discretion of the management of MAEER's Group of Institutes.
The Placement Department imparts training to the students to develop overall personality of the student to be able to equip them for facing the Campus Interviews in this new competitive era. The thrust of the Placement Department is to create maximum opportunities for the placement of the eligible students in the job market by establishing good rapo with the Industry.
