STC has emerged as an institution of excellence in the field of higher education. The College is located in an area of 10 acres of land in Ruabandha Sector, Bhilai. It is a self supporting and self financing institution sponsored by St. Thomas Malankara Orthodox Church Mission, Bhilai. The St. Thomas College is run by a Christian Minority Community.
Library: The Central Library of STC has got an invaluable collection of books in different subjects. The library subscribes to the standard national & international journals pertaining to the fields of science, mathematics, humanities, management studies, commerce & education, magazines and newspapers, and is headed by a Sr. Librarian assisted by other staff. The Central library has go a cyber corner where the students and staff can get free access to the internet. It is housed in a new double storied block and contains separate reading rooms for staff and students . The Reference section provides relevant and useful study material in various disciplines. DELNET facility is also available in the library. Apart from the Central Library, each P.G. department maintains its own departmental library.
Sports: The College gives due importance to sports activities. It is gratifying to note that every year some of our students represent the University / the State / the Nation in different fields. Due consideration will be given for admission to those students who have participated in State level or National level sports events.
In tandem with academics, sports and games have an important place in modern education. Keeping this in view, the college has a Sports Complex which includes two volleyball courts, a basket ball court, a lawn tennis court, a football ground and a table tennis room. Under the guidance of a trained and experienced Sports Officer, utmost efforts are made to bring out and courage the sporting talents of the students.
Canteen: A beautiful canteen under the shades of lush green trees are a favorite past time for the students where many kinds of health food are available.
Hostel Facility
St. Mary’s Women’s Hostel is situated in the college campus itself and accommodate every year a limited number of outstation women students as per the availability of hostel seats and in accordance with hostel rules. Students will have to apply separately for hostel accommodation and selected students will be intimated. The hostellers shall abide by the hostel rules.
