Yadavrao Tasgaonkar Polytechnic (YTP) is one of the professional institutes started under the aegis of Saraswati Education Society in the year 2007 as a constitute of Tasgaonkar Group of Institutions. The society was started by our visionary Dr Nandkumar Y Tasgaonkar, especially to enable higher technical education opportunities to our youth, especially in the rural region.
The teaching learning process encompasses all the resources that are put in from the institute, like the faculties, students, infrastructural facilities and teaching aids. All the class rooms suitably ventilated, highly spacious, fully furnished, ideally illuminated and well maintained. Lectures are conducted by using both blackboard and audiovisual PowerPoint presentations.
The classroom sessions are monitored. The faculties are required to submit their notes as well as presentations for assessment by senior staff members. Feedback is also taken from the students regarding performance of the teachers and progress of the syllabus on a regular basis. The result of both internal and university examinations is also analyzed meticulously which in turn serves as a platform for indirect evaluation of our methods of teaching and learning. Our enthusiastic faculties go beyond completion of syllabus to make the students aware and curious about the profession of pharmacy by large.
Laboratories: All practical sessions are conducted in the laboratories. Students are provided with adequately spaced and intelligently structured laboratories. All equipment and apparatus needed to perform the experiments are available in the laboratory. The teachers are well prepared with the data regarding the experiment and expert results are recorded before experiment is performed by the students. The part of theory syllabus which serves as basis of the experiment being performed is revised before actual commencement of the procedure. This makes the students well informed and quite familiar with the technique. In the internal practical examinations, students are assessed for their skills and smooth conduct of the experiment. We also evaluate our teaching-learning process on a planned basis and frequently take corrective measures. The corrective measures are arrived at by evaluating various parameters associated with the process.
