Padmashri Vikhe Patil College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Pravaranagar, was established in June, 1971 under the mentorship of Pravara Rural Education Society, Pravaranagar. The College is located in rural area in Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra & has been catering to the educational needs for the boys & girls of surrounding 44 villages. The college has 36 acres lush green & sprawling campus equipped with ultra-modern facilities for teaching, learning and research.
Library: The library in PVP College is started with its establishment in 1971 . It function as a subsystem of college postgraduate and reseach level. The College library is the main center of the student to carry out their scholastic activities and hence almost care is taken to keep it open for the maximum number of days and hours. The library has a magnificent 3 storied building in the center of the college. Students bring with them their identity card and library card while entering the reading hall.Special feature of the collge library are open access for student, maximum hour reading hall facility and computerized library and internet facilities. Every attempt is made by the college to encourage student to make maximum use of reach collection of books with this aim. The library is kept open Sunday and holidy during examination seasion . Home leading section of the college generally enrolls almost all students. Each student is entitled to get two cards for lending the book to home for 7 days.
Hostel Facility
The College has separate boys hostel, with two specious building (Hostel No. 1 and 2) accommodate 500 boys.Important facility available at these hostel are hot water through solar system,filter water for drinking, canteen,indoor games and newspapers. Student desirous of taking admission in boys hostels should fill up the Hostel admission form, along all required enclousers and submit it to the rector of boys hostel, Prof. B.B. Amale ,if hostel accommodation is available, they should fill up bank challan and pay the amount in Pravara Bank,P.V.P. College extention counter.
The girl's hostels comprises of 3 specious building and accommodation of 500 girls student. there are two lady rectors specially appointed for admissions of girls hostels.they stay in the hostel campus only. All rooms are well furnished.important facilities are available in thease hostel are hot water through solar sytem,filtered water for drinking.mess canteen,T.T. film(cinema) projection,reading room,indoor games,newspaper,S.T.D. Booth,first aid electric power generator and Earn and Learn Scheme. Girls student desirous of taking admission in the girl's hostels should fill up the girl hostel form and should submit it to the recotr of the girl's hostel.while taking admission, they should pay the required amount in the pravara Bank(P.V.P. College Extension Counter)and submit the application form duly filled and accopained by all required enclosures to the rector of the hostel.
The college has well established placement cell. The cell helps students to know about job opportunities and good placement
