The Govt. Polytechnic for Women at Morni, Panchkula has been set up from the academic session 2008-09 with sanctioned intake of 120, 60 each in Diploma in Hotel Management ( 3 years course after 10th) and Computer Engg.(3 years (6 semester) course after 10th). The Polytechnic has been functioning under society mode. The Society in the name and style of “Government Polytechnic for Women Education Society, Morni, Distt. Panchkula” was got registered under Society Act 1860 through District Registrar of Firms & Societies, Panchkula vide no. 76 dated 1.12.2008. Govt. Polytechnic for Women, Morni (Panchkula) has become a premier and most sought after Polytechnic of North India. 1 .	Diploma in Computer Engineering
	Eligibility 10th in any State Board Exam (Pass in Math & Science subjects is compulsory)
	Duration 3 years
	No. of Seats 60 seats
	Other Details Areas of Study: Core subjects like Programming in C, OOPS, Data Structure, Microprocessor, Computer organization, Visual Basic, JAVA. Besides these the peripheral subjects like Communication skills, Computer Applications, Software Engineering are also taught.

2 .	Diploma in Hotel Management
	Eligibility 10th in any State Board Exam (Pass in English subject is compulsory).
	Duration 3 years
	No. of Seats 60 seats
	Other Details Areas of Study: Core subjects like Food Production Management, Food & Beverage Service Management and Accommodations Management are taken up for in depth study by the students. Besides these the peripheral subjects like Communications, Computer Applications, Hotel Engineering, language learning, Human Resource Management, Managerial Economics, Law, and Facilities Management are also taught to develop the students as future managers in the field of Hospitality Management.
