The Krishi Vigyan Kendra is a district level Farm Science Center established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi at Agricultural Development Trust Baramati District Pune for speedy transfer of technology to the farmers' fields.
The Krishi Vigyan Kendra has very well developed administrative building having classrooms, audio visual hall, soil & water analysis laboratory, computer rooms, laboratory for production of biological products, community radio station, & an agriculture technology information center (ATIC).
This well equipped laboratory analyses soil, water, Petiole(Leaf), fertilezer/manure samples at reasonable rates.
The laboratory is supported with computer software for more precise interpretation of results.
Every soil sample is analyzed for eight parameters such as pH, Electric Conductivity, Organic Carbon, available Nitrogen, available Phosphorus, & available Potassium, Exchangeable Sodium, Calcium & Magnesium content.
Hostel Facility
The Krishi Vigyan Kendra has a farmer's hostel that can accommodate more than 125 farmers at a time.
