Kalinga Institute of Dental Sciences (KIDS) prepares dental surgeons to work closely with patients. The graduates will have a high standard of professional responsibility, delivering oral health care to the community.
The Institute has 11 departments, conforming to the DCI guidelines, and 120 ultra modern electronically operated dental chairs. It has excellent endotentic and oral surgery OT with RVG, OPG and standby individual X-ray units. The course is delivered by nationally respected clinicians and researchers.
Library: KIMS as a wing of KIIT has access to a well-stacked library, reference section and online journal facilities. KIMS library housed in a four storied building has an initial stock of 1184 titles of reference and textbooks with more than 150 number of journals, CDs aimed at keeping the students and faculty abreast with the modern technology and progress made in the field of Medical Sciences.
Central Library has established a Digital Library known as 'KIMS Digital' using GSDL software. Library is in the process of being automated through a corporate edition of Web Centric 'LS Premia' in Red Hat Linux Enterprise Edition 5.0 platform and RDBMS backend in MY SQL.
