Indian Institute of Fire Engineering, Nagpur (Established in 1996) is the First Govt. Recognised Institute in India for Advance Courses in Fire Safety Engineering, Security Management where students train themselves into excellent Fire Safety Engineers and Security. IIFE is registered Under Government society Act 1860 (Regd. No. MAH-365/97) and recognised by Maharashtra State Board of Technical Education (MSBTE) and Director of Technical Education (DT Board), Mumbai.
IIFE is located in area of 10 acres of land on a terrain track on Nagpur–Katol Road, State Highway. IIFE has modern infrastructure and facilities such as well ventilated class rooms, modern laboratory, practical ground, hostel building, mess, latest books Library, film and video library, training centre computerized information’s, exhibition gallery and latest equipment’s for live practical of fire fighting at its Institute’s premises. IIFE has adequate numbers of highly qualified and trained faculties of national reputed and proven capabilities of high calibre in various disciplines like Fire Engg., Civil Engg. Industrial Safety, Mechanical Engg, Chemical, Electrical Engg, Doctors for Anatomy and First-Aid and Senior Defence personnel. Three or Four week’s practical attachment is being given to the personnel in major cities or industries. The expenditure to be borne by the individual itself.
