IIM Visakhapatnam is set up by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India in 2015 as a registered Society with a constituted Board of Governors under the Andhra Pradesh Societies Registration Act 2001. The institute is being mentored by IIM Bangalore.
Students are housed in two separate 5-storey buildings which are 3 KM away from campus with a capacity of 60 students each on a double occupancy basis. Institute provides transportation to students for commuting between the Institute and hostels. All the rooms are air conditioned and furnished.
The placement record has been impressive with students joining National Institute of Nutrition, Indian Immunologicals, ICMR, Dr. Reddys’ laboratories, Aurobindo Pharma, Krebs Biochemicals, etc.
