Proudhadeveraya Institute of Technology, (PDIT) established in 1997.The Institution is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum, Karnataka, India and recognized by AICTE, New Delhi (F.No. 770-53-221(ET)/96, Dated: 04.08.1997).

Eligibility
The student should have passed Karnataka 2nd PUC /12th standard or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum of 45% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects. In case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A,2B, 3A and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

Admission to this college is made completely through Common Entrance Test (CET) & PGCET conducted by Government of Karnataka through Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Selection is based on the Merit and Reservation in accordance with the policies of the Government of Karnataka. CET will be generally conducted during the month of April/May of every year. Seats are reserved for candidates belonging to different categories viz., General Merit, SC/ST, Category I,II,III & IV, and Political Sufferers, Defence, Sports, NCC and Physically Handicapped. Selection through Diploma quota and G.O.I quota are made by the Director of Technical Education, Bangalore
