Department of Economics was started in 1970.Later, Prof M.K.Muley and Prof S.S.Salimath strengthened the Department. Economics was taught both as major and minor subjects. During 1990-91 major and minor pattern of education was replaced by 3 equal optional subjects.
Library : Our college library is well equipped. There are about 24,000 volumes on various subjects and nearly 40 periodicals both Indian and Foreign to provide knowledge to the students. Every student of the college is eligible to have one borrowers card which can be obtained from librarian on production of the identity card.
Hostel Facility
Hostel facilities are provided for boys and girls separately. Boys will be accomodated in Zeiglar Hostel and girls in Kittel Ladies Hostel.
