Indian Institute of Public Health, Bhubaneswar is one of the four institutes set up by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) as a part of its charter to build public health capacity in India. Indian Institute of Public Health (IIPH), Bhubaneswar, commenced its academic activities from August, 2010. One of the key objectives of the Institute has been to implement the vision of the PHFI by linking public health advocacy, teaching, research and public health practice. The first programme was the Post Graduate Diploma course in Public Health Management, launched on 2nd August 2010. Government Doctors who participated were from Odisha and Chhattisgarh and some were self-sponsored candidates. In addition to this, various short term training programmes, workshops and research activities are being undertaken by the institute.

Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management

1 .	Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management
	Eligibility Applicants should have a graduate/postgraduate degree in medicine, AYUSH, dental, nursing, pharmacy, health sciences, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, natural/life sciences, management, social sciences, social work, economics, statistics or any equivalent qualification. Candidates with work experience in health/ development sector will be given preference.
	Duration 12 months (The program would be a regular course lasting for nine months of class room teaching and three months of project work including field study. )
	Admission Procedure The selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit. Eligible candidates would be screened, based on their application and statement of purpose by a specially constituted screening committee. Short listed candidates would then be interviewed and the final list will be announced. The final selection of the candidate is based on qualifications, relevant experience, statement of purpose and interview.
