Placement Records
 

The Indian Institute of Public Health – Gandhinagar (IIPH-G) started on World Health Day – 7th April 2008. The first academic program that was, launched in July 2008, was called Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management. Students came from Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh and Punjab. The institute presently has 13 fulltime faculty from diverse backgrounds related to public health. Inorder to train in-service managers/ staff, the institute has been conducting short-term training programmes and workshops in various fields related to public health. The institute‘s activities has received funding support from NRHM/ Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and Medical Council of India, CSIR, NABARD, Karoliska Institute, NRDC, IPH Banglore, etc.

Associate Fellow in Industrial Health | Certificate in Public Health and Hospital Management | Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health and Hospital Management | Post Graduate Diploma in Public Health Management

Eligibility
MBBS doctors with a minimum of one year experience after internship. Candidates attached to factories / industries or with industrial experience would be given preference. Expert faculty, adequate practical training, industry exposure and hands-on experience shall be the hallmark of this course.
 
Duration
3 month full time course regulated by DGFASLI (Director General of Factory Advisory Services & Labour Institutes, Govt of India). As per Factories Act, this is a mandatory qualification for doctors working in hazardous industry. Other industries also prefer to hire AFIH qualified doctors.

Eligibility
The applicant should be either a student or a graduate in General Nurse Midwifery / BSc Nursing / BSc Post Basic / Msc. Nursing / Pharmacy / Physiotherapy / AYUSH stream / Dental science. The course is open to any graduates of any other streams if they possess two years relevant experience in health sector.
 
Duration
6 months distance learning program

The applicant should be either a student or a graduate in General Nurse Midwifery / BSc Nursing / BSc Post Basic / Msc. Nursing / Pharmacy / Physiotherapy / AYUSH stream / Dental science. The course is open to any graduates of any other streams if they possess two years relevant experience in health sector.
 
Duration
12 months distance learning program

Eligibility
Applicants should have a graduate/postgraduate degree in medicine, AYUSH, dental, nursing, pharmacy, health sciences, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, natural/life sciences, management, social sciences, social work, econoics, statistics or any equivalent qualification. Candidates with work experience in health/ development sector will be given preference.
 
Duration
12 months (The program would be a regular course lasting for nine months of class room teaching and three months of project work including field study. )
 
Admission Procedure
The selection will be made strictly on the basis of merit. Eligible candidates would be screened, based on their application and statement of purpose by a specially constituted screening committee. Short listed candidates would then be interviewed and the final list will be announced. The final selection of the candidate is based on qualifications, relevant experience, statement of purpose and interview.
