Nagpur Polytechnic, Nagpur was established in the year 1983, by B.C.Y.R.C., Nagpur , and second shift was established in 2008. It started with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E) New Delhi, Govt. of India and Directorate of Technical Education, M.S. Mumbai. The institute is affiliated with the Board of Technical Education, Maharashtra State, Mumbai.
The self contained sprawling campus provide excellent infrastructure, state of the art laboratories, well-furnished class rooms With modern audio tutorial rooms and drawing halls, acoustically designed air-conditioned seminar hall and air – conditioned model class room with modern audio visual teaching aids. The college has a spacious well stacked computerized library with separate reading rooms.Free internet access is available for staff and students. The extension counter of Tirupati Urban Cooperative Bank Ltd. exist near by the college. The premises has ATM at a walking distance.
Computer Center: There is specially designed computer center: furnished with Compaq Branded Pentium IV computers connected through LAN Novel Network, Windows NT/Windows 2003 server and Windows xp, more over Software like power builder, autocad, oracle, Unix EMPTP, Visual Basic, Visual c++, linux, java MATLAB etc. all also available in the center.
Library: The college has a well established and fully comuterized library consisting of numerous titles and reference books. Many Indian and Foreign Journals are regularly subscribed. A separate spacious reading room with internet, Xerox and Lamination facility is also available. Each department of the college has its own departmental library.
Hostel Facility
The institute has boys hostel and mess with single and double bed rooms. Two separate girls hostels with single and double bed occupancy are available. A lady warden and Prof. in-charge look after the welfare of girls students all the time.
Training and placement cell of the institute helps the student to become competitive & secure good positions after their Diploma. This cell also arranges campus interviews for the final year students.
