George Telegraph of Training Institute was established in 16th May, 1920 in response to the potential gravity of the unemployment problem. A registered trust dedicated to human resource development as per the requirement of Indian industry and it is one of the pioneers in education in India.The George Telegraph Training Institute is a registered trust dedicated in providing underprivileged youth to the industry relevant training that enables them to become economically independent. Our mission is to ensure that participants in our training programmes emerge with the ability to find employment or to become self-employed in their respective fields. The Institute is a training partner of National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Govt. of India. All the courses of all centres are NSDC affiliated.
Library: The Institute has a state of the art Library with large number of books. Students are not allowed to borrow books from the library but can use it extensively for their reference studies.
The George Telegraph Training Institute has a centralised Placement Cell in Kolkata which maintains a computerised database of all its registered successful students and organizes campus interviews.
