The NIELIT Centre at Chennai is being developed as an advanced training and development centre housing state of the art facilities with special emphasis technologies of IECT viz. VLSI Design , Embedded System, networkin, Information Security, and IT Applications such as e-learning / multimedia animation). This would help the students who are passing out from Engineering Colleges and Science Colleges by providing value addition to their basic qualification for immediate employability. Professionals and teaching faculties can upgrade their knowledge in the emerging areas of IECT. Also the centre would undertake services and development in the field of Information, Electronics and Communications Technology (IECT)
Anna Centenary Library, one of the biggest library in Asia. In addition to well furnished built-up area of 5500Sq feet to house state of the art modern laboratories & educational service facilities, the centre has ample reserved parking space . Additional facilities such as seminar halls, class rooms , guest rooms are being availed from ISTE Professional Centre within campus. The centre is in the process of identifying suitable land for construction of its own facilities.
