The Institute has been established by Charutar Vidya Mandal (CVM), an educational society. ISTAR is affiliated to Sardar Patel University, Vallabh Vidyanagar and Gujarat Technological University, Ahmedabad. Some of the Post-Graduate programs being offered by BVM have been shifted to ISTAR for better academics.
