Durgadevi Saraf Junior College was established in 1975. The College is named after Late Smt. Durgadevi Saraf, mother of Shri Mahavirprasad G. Saraf, the main donor of the College.
The College completes 38 years of its glorious existence imparting value - based education to around 3763 students in preparing them for Higher Secondary Certificate Examination of Maharashtra Board.The College is a linguistic minority institution. It started with Commerce stream, and it has also added Arts and Science streams to junior college course. The Motto of the college is Vidya Vinayena Shobhate (Knowledge is enhanced by Humility alone).
Library : DSJC Library is one of the largest libraries having a large collection of books. It is fully automated using an integrated library software.
The Library collection comprises of books, reference books, maps, CD ROMs, periodicals, and reports etc. Every year the collection is strengthened by addition of latest books and various other publications.
The Library is open round the year except for national holidays.
IT Laboratory:
The IT lab is equipped with high speed computers and projector for the learning process. It is situated at 6 th floor.
Hostel Facility
Draupadidevi Sanwarmal Women's Hostel provides good quality accommodation exclusively to girl students. The hostel has AC and Non AC rooms, available on sharing basis. The hostel provides accommodation to girl students pursuing higher studies. All the rooms have attached toilets, designed in such a way that they can be serviced when the rooms are locked.
