The University of Kerala has established ten centers for Teacher Education to offer the B.Ed. Course under its direct control and supervision with the approval of the University of Kerala.
The KUCTE Anchal is one of the ten prestigious institution established by the University in the Eastern hilly region of Kollam District, Kerala State. The college which was originally started functioning in 1994 at Punalur was shifted to Anchal in 1998 in view of better facilities. Since then it has been functioning in its own campus at Government H.S.S, Anchal west.

Language Laboratory: The language lab is a technological break for imparting skills in English and it offers an exclusive result oriented and efficient to enrich the English language learning process.
Physical Science Laboratory:All the necessary equipment and chemicals for conducting both physics, chemistry experiments of secondary school classes.
Natural Science Laboratory: Lab contains Compound simple microscopes, more than 60 preserved specimens, still and working printed charts, human skeleton, more than 60 items of herbarium etc.
Multi Purpose Hall:A spacious and fully equipped auditorium with 200 seating capacity is in the campus where all co-curricular activities and Seminars are organized.
