Kerala University College of Teacher Education is one among the prestigious teacher education colleges run by University of Kerala. The college started functioning in 1994 at Olathanni and shifted to Nedumangad in 2004 keeping in mind the backwardness of this area.
The college is running with 50 Students in each Five Optionals- English, Mathematics, Natural Science,Physical Science and Social Science. There are the Principal and 13 members in the teaching faculty and 6 non-teaching staff in the office

1 .	B.Ed. English
	Eligibility B.A Degree with English Language and Literature with 45% marks for part III or BA/B.Sc with 50% of marks for part I English out of a total of maximum 300 marks and not less than 50% marks for Masters Degree in English Language and Literature. or BA Degree in UGC Aided Vocational courses with three mains. Communicative/Functional English, English Literature and Public Administration of the University of Kerala with 45% marks. Communicative/Functional English, English Literature and Journalism with 45% marks. or BA Degree (Restructured ) with English Language and Literature communicative/Functional English and English Language Teaching with 45% marks.

2 .	B.Ed. Mathematics
	Eligibility B.Sc Degree with Mathematics/Statistics main with 50% marks for part III. Candidates with Statistics Main degree should have studied Mathematics as one of the Subsidiary subjects.

3 .	B.Ed. Natural Science
	Eligibility B.Sc Degree in Zoology or Botany with Botany and Zoology respectively as compulsory subsidiary subjects securing not less than 50% marks under part III. Candidates with two main and three main degree of other Universities should have studied Botany and Zoology, one subject being equivalent to the main and the other equivalent to the subsidiary, or both subjects being equivalent to the main for getting admission to B.Ed Natural Science.

4 .	B.Ed. Physical Science
	Eligibility B.Sc degree in Physics or Chemistry with Chemistry and Physics respectively as compulsory subsidiary subjects securing not less than 50% marks under part III. The two main and three main degree holders of other Universities will be considered for admission to B.Ed Physical Science, if and only they have studied both Physics and Chemistry, one subject being equivalent to the Main and the other equivalent to the subsidiary or both subjects being equivalent to the main.
