St. Gregorios College, Kottarakara, an aided Arts & Science College affiliated to the University of Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram. The College is located in Gregorios Mount, a scenic and serene site near Pulamon in Kottarakara, Kerala State. It is included in the list of colleges under 2F/12B category of University Grants Commission. The College is reaccredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) of the University Grants Commission with B Grade
St. Gregorios College had a very humble beginning with only a few pre-degree batches in science, arts and commerce subjects. The College entered the second phase of its development in 1976 with the up-gradation as a first grade college with the introduction of degree courses in Botany, Chemistry, Mathematics,Physics, Zoology, Politics and Commerce. The latest addition to this list is the BA Communicative English programme started in 2001. Major milestones were achieved in the history of the College with the introduction of Post Graduate courses in Chemistry (1995), Mathematics (1998), Physics (1999) and Commerce (2013).
Library:The central library of the college has nearly 32000 books in its stack room and a good number of periodicals and journals. It has a separate reference section consisting of encyclopaedias, dictionaries and other important reference books
Inflibnet N-List:Our college is currently a member of the N-List (National Library and Information Services Infrastructure for Scholarly Content) programme of UGC Inflibnet.
Computer Lab:The College has a well-organized computer lab. The lab is equipped with nearly sixty computers with dual-boot facility and all necessary accessories like multimedia projector, scanner and printers.
Wi-Fi Campus:The entire campus of St. Gregorios College is wi-fi enabled. All computers in the departments, college office, library and computer lab are wireless networked.
Language Lab:St. Gregorios College prides in the state of the art language laboratory attached to English Department with digital facilities. The laboratory is envisaged to give adequate exposure of the characteristics of Native and Non-Native varieties of English to all students.
Botanical Garden:Botanical Gardens are the part of ex-situ conservation, which represent a place for growing different kinds and varieties of plants collected from different localities of the world.
Gymnasium:The College which has always given importance to the mental and physical fitness of its students, started a Multi-Gymnasium funded by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
Canteen: A well-furnished and spacious canteen is functioning in the College, in a separate block. It provides snacks, lunch, tea and coffee to the staff and students of the College at moderate rates
Co-operative Store:There is a co-operative store in the campus run by the St. Gregorios College Co-operative Society. It provides various stationary items, notebooks, practical record books, assignment books, textbooks and various application forms to the students of the college at lower prices
