St. Mary's Training College, Karikode is owned and managed by Christian Educational Society, Karikode with Reg. No. K – 48/83.The College is situated in a calm and quite village atmosphere adjacent to the HINDUSTAN Newsprint LTD Velloor. The Piravom road Railway Station is very near to this college. The Vanchinad Express, Venad Express Parasuram Express, Malabar Express, Kanyakumary –Banglore Express and several passenger trains have stops at Piravom Road Railway Station.
The college offers instructions in the following optional subjects viz. English, Social Science, Mathematics, Physical Science, and Natural Science. The intake of the college was 120. But now as per the direction of NCTE intake of the college is 50, and the duration of the B.Ed course to two years.
