Ramanattukara is a vibrant village town 16 km south of Kozhikode city. It is situated at the intersection of NH 66 and 966 and the starting point of NH 66 bye-pass. It is 10 Km away from Calicut International Airport and 5 Km from Feroke Railway station. University of Calicut is 5 Km away.
Since 1964, after the establishment of the Government Arts & Science College, Meenchantha; no Arts and Science colleges are established in and around Kozikode city even though the seekers for admission increased tenfold. The only opportunity for 75% of seekers is parallel colleges and tuition centers preparing students for distance/correspondence education courses. It is a long cherished dream of the people of this locality to have an institution filling this vacuum to provide quality undergraduate and post graduate education for the young generation.
Bhavan’s Ramanattukara Kendra was established in 2001. The year 2012 is a year of twin celebration for Bharatiya Vidya Bhabvan being the 75th (PLATINUM JUBILEE) year of its formation and also the 125th birth anniversary of its founder Dr.K.M.Munshiji.
So, Bhavan’s Ramanattukara Kendra decided to establish a College namely “Bhavans Platinum Jubilee College” in order to ideally commemorate and celebrate the occasion in a worthy manner. Hence we present this new born institution before you for your blessings and nourishment. It is totally apolitical.
