SI Women’s College of Art and Science is situated in the heart of Ummathur which is only 1 KM away form Parakkadavu, Nadapuram. The college is run by Saqafathul Islam Arabic College and Academy Committee and is the latest educational venture of the same Committee. It is set up with the broadobjective of providing education to women in and around the area. It offers various under graduate courses. They are BA English Language and Literature, B.Com with Computer Application and BBA. The College is affiliated to Calicut University and is approved by Govt. Of Kerala. One speciality of this college is that it offers, without any financial burden to the students, three years Diploma Courses such as Home Science and Computer Science along with its under graduate courses. A student who gets enrolledin this college in any discipline will be provided free classes for any one of the aforesaid diploma courses and can become a graduate and a diploma holder simultaneously by the end of the course.
