Namboodiris College of teacher education, Irinjalakuda is a self financing college of education for conducting B.Ed course. The college is owned by Tharananellur Educational and cultural society (TECS)-R307/06. It is affiliated to the University Of Calicut and recognised by NCTE. The most important objective of this college is to train good teachers who are intellectually competent, morally upright, spiritually inspired- in short , a psychologically integrated and socially acceptable personality, to be an agent of changing creating a society which respects dignity of individual, fight social unjust and nurtures religious harmony. The college is established to achieve its motto. Discipline, Devotion, Dexterity. The college started functioning with 100 students on 2009. This is the first professional college under the TECS which gives preparation for all students, irrespective of caste and creed.
Library: A full time accessible library with texts, periodicals and C D. Rom titles covering various functional areas
Audio visual set up and Seminar Hall: Namboodiris has a seminar hall and good collection of CDs, LCD Projector and presentation software. For timely correction, student’s presentations are recorded and played back to them with needed tips.
Computer lab: A well equipped and fully Air Conditioned computer lab with access to Internet. Computer skills are imparted to the students by training in various software packages.
Science lab: Namboodiris has a well arranged science lab with modern apparatus and equipments to provide students a good scientific and practical knowledge in their respective subjects.
Physical Science lab: A well equipped Physical Science Lab with all needed facility is available at our campus
Natural Science lab: A well equipped Natural Science Lab with all needed facility is available at our campus
Psychology lab: A well equipped Psychology Lab with all needed facility is available at our campus
ET lab: A well equipped ET Lab with all needed facility is available at our campus
Language lab: A well equipped Language Lab with all needed facility is available at our campus
Psycho Analysis:A continuous assessment of personality traits is done through out the course. Periodical counseling session and feed back is provided by experts.
Linguistic Development Programmes:Namboodiris Conducts periodical work shops for our students for developing communication and conversation skill in languages like German, French and English through various programmes like effective public speaking, fast reading and Memory efficiency advanced conversation etc.
Subodhana Kriya (Optional):Keeping in mind the extreme competitive environment Namboodiris introduced 'Subodhana Kriya' - a blend of Yoga and Meditation. This will strengthen the mind, concentration and reduce mental ties, give a perfect vision so to create. world class personalities generating positive ideas.
