The St. James’ Hospital Trust Pharmaceutical Research Centre (SJHTPRC)approved by DSIR,New Delhi, is committed to R&D activities in the field of Pharmaceuticals to become a centre of excellence. The SJCOPS is the only pharmacy college under Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) having Dept. of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR) certification from the Ministry of Science and Technology, New Delhi. The SJHTPRC had technology transfers with pharmaceutical industries and also completed the Indian Council for Medical Research (ICMR) Funded Project. SJCOPS receives PG student project financial assistance from Kerala State Council for Science, Technology & Environment (KSCSTE), Thiruvanathapuram on every year. St James Hospital and SJCOPS having Pharmacovigilance Centre and Materiovigilance Centre approved by Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC) an autonomous institution of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (Govt. of India) for the activities relating to the detection, assessment, understanding, reporting and prevention of adverse effects or any other drug-related problem and medical devices. Our college is also equipped with software and sophisticated instruments lab for studies and research activities in different areas of pharmaceutical sciences. Our Drug Information Centre in the Department of Pharmacy Practice have the software Lexicomp which provides clear, concise, point-of-care drug information, including dosing, administration, warnings and precautions, as well as clinical content as online reference.

1 .	Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm)
	Eligibility A candidate who has undergone any of the following courses and passed the examination with an aggregate of 50% marks in overall and 50% marks in the optional subject. HSE/CBSE/ICSE Examinations with Physics, Chemistry & Biology/Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Biotechnology as optional subjects. Any other Examination with Physics, Chemistry & Biology /Mathematics/ Computer Science / Biotechnology as optional subjects approved as equivalent to any of the above examinations by the Kerala University of Health Sciences.
	Duration 4 years
	Admission Procedure A candidate on admission to the B. Pharm course shall apply to the University for Registration. By making a formal application in the prescribed format. Original degree certificate and mark lists of qualifying examination. Allotment letter from the competent authority. Eligibility and migration certificate wherever needed. Original SSLC/equivalent certificate. The fees prescribed for the course.

2 .	Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)
	Eligibility A Pass in the following examinations – B. Pharm Degree examination of an Indian university established by law in India from an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India and has scored not less than 55 % of the maximum marks (aggregate of II, III and IV years OR 3rd to 8th semester of B Pharm as the case may be.) Every student, selected for admission to Post Graduate pharmacy program in an institution approved by Pharmacy Council of India should have obtained registration with the State Pharmacy Council or should obtain the same within one month from the date of his/her admission, failing which the admission of the candidate shall be cancelled.

3 .	Pharm. D. (Doctor of Pharmacy)
	Eligibility 10+2 examination(HSE/CBSE/ICSE) with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the following subjects: Mathematics or Biology with a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate for optional subjects. or a pass in D.Pharm course with a minimum of 50% marks from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act. or any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations. Provided that a student should complete the age of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission to the course. Provided that there shall be reservation of seats for the students belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and other Backward Classes in accordance with the instructions issued by the Central Government/State Government/Union Territory Administration as the case may be from time to time.
