Santhigiri Ayurveda Medical College,Palakkad is a unit of Santhigiri Ashram and administered by the department of Santhigiri Healthcare Research Organisation under its Medical Education Division.
Santhigiri Ashram is a voluntary charitable organisation founded in 1964 by “Navajyothishree Karunakara Guru” at Pothencode near Thiruvananthapuram, with the aim of development of humanity as its core in general and total elevation of oneself in specific. This is carried out thru the motto of 'Annadhanam, Athurasevanam and Athmabodhanam.'
Working beyond caste, colour and creed, in the effort to fulfill the above,Santhgiri ashram has transformed many a lives and spread out all over India and certain parts of the world too with its healthcare network.
Santhigiri Ashram has been recognized for its research efforts, as the 'Scientific Industrial Research Organisation-SIRO' by the Govt.of India, Ministry of Science & Technology thru the Council of Science & Industrial Research(CSIR).
Library :Central Library having 10,000 plus titles on various subjects apart from ayurveda and indian system of medicines books. Along with these the departmental library is established in all the 14 teaching departments. Extensive books on Siddha System available.
Clinical Material in the hospital:The college hospital has got all necessary clinical materials as per the Requirement. Following clinical Departments are fully equipped.
