Sree Narayana Institute of Ayurvedic Studies and Research was established in the year 2004 by Sree Narayana Health Care Society. It is a registered charitable society constituted by a group of social workers, educationalists and devotees of Sree Narayana Guru. Sree Narayana Guru, a well respected and devoted figure was a saint, social reformer and educationalist. Above all, he was an Ayurvedic physician. The objective of the society is to impart high quality education, research and treatment in Ayurveda, traditional system of medicine and treatment.
After getting obligatory permissions from C.C.I.M and AYUSH, the institute started functioning in the academic year 2004-05. The intake capacity is 60 students for four and half (4 ½) year B.A.M.S course. Among the 60 students, 30 are allotted by commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala and the rest by the management.
LIBRARY: The fully computerized library has around 10,000 books from national and international publishers comprising of Ayurvedic texts and of contemporary medical sciences. It also possesses good collection of general reading books and journals. Students, researchers and teachers can access any topic of Ayurveda in a matter of minutes.
CANTEEN: The canteen serves quality food items for breakfast, lunch, evening snacks and supper. It is a full-fledged canteen, serving great tasting and healthy food to students, teachers and others.
SPECIAL TRAINING: The institute believes in equipping the students to meet the new and emerging challenges. We impart them training in English, communication skills, IT training, etc to help them meet the global challenges. The students will be fully trained to use computers and internet to access information from the world wide web. We also equip them to share their knowledge and expertise to the whole world.
Hostel Facility
Separate hostels are provided for boys(3873 sq.ft) and girls(22896 sq.ft). The hostels are well maintained and include separate mess for boys and girls. The discipline of the hostel is strictly monitored by the college authorities.
