The Regional Campus at Alappuzha district, in particular Thuravoor (Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit) began functional in 1995. Between Ernakulam and Kollam district there is no Higher Educational Institutions emphasizing on the PG courses.At present a total number of 185 students are studying in B.A. (Sanskrit sahitya), M.A. (History, Malayalam & Sanskrit Sahitya) and MSW courses. There are 7 regular teachers and 17 guest lecturers working in different departments of theCampus.
