The Motilal Kanhaiyalal Fomra Charitable Trust was founded during the year 1995 by Late Shree Kanhaiyalalji Fomra, with a view to promote the cause of education and to help the economically and socially under privileged students. This is an ISO 9001:2008 certified institution.
LIBRARY: Fomra college Library
The library of SMK Fomra Institute of Technology, Chennai, is a powerhouse of knowledge and is situated in a separate building. With two floors and an area of 986 square meters, the air- conditioned library stocks a large volume of books and periodicals that are of immense value to the students. The collections of volumes cover a wide range of Engineering subjects and other related fields of study.
TRANSPORT: SMK Fomra Institute of Technology, Chennai is situated within the administrative city limits declared by the Govt. of Tamilnadu. Transport facility is provided to have access from all points of Chennai to college campus. At present, there are 24 buses & 2 vans plying on different routes to help students to reach the college.
CANTEEN : Students in Canteen Shree Motilal Kanhaiyalal Fomra Institute of Technology, Chennai, is equipped with a modern canteen that is operated by the management.
ATM : The campus is equipped with a full functioning ATM of Karnataka Bank

Hostel Facility
Separate hostels that cater to boys and girls. The hostels are equipped with several amenities like indoor games, reading rooms, recreation rooms and a world-class gymnasium. These facilities are available inside the college campus and are governed by the hostel council.The hostels also have resident deputy wardens who ensure the welfare of the students while they are in the college campus. The principal is the Chief warden of both hostels.
