V.R.S College of Engineering and Technology was established in the year 1994 under the aegis of S.P.S. Educational trust. The college is functioning with the approval of Government of Tamil Nadu and All India Council for Technical Education and affiliation of Anna University, Chennai. It has been accredited by NBA & NAAC and Recertified for ISO 9001:2008 by TUV SUD South Asia. It has been managed by Board of Governors with Mrs.Vijaya Muthuvannan as its Chairperson and Mr.S.R.Ramanathan as Secretary and Correspondent. Mr.N.Muthuvannan is Director-Board of Governors and Er.M.Saravanan looks after entire administration of the college.
Central Library: The Central Library is functioning in a spacious place of 810 sq.m., with open access system, which provides more sophistication to the learning community. The Library proudly possesses 29,534 volumes of books in 12,925 titles, and 42 numbers of National journals and 5 numbers of magazines. Moreover, we have signed MOU with DELNET [Developing Library Network, New Delhi], which facilitates access with 491 both National and International Journals through its web portal.
WIFI Enabled Campus
Gallery Hall: There is a Gallery Hall of 990 sqm with ultramodern and sophisticated facilities of multimedia audio and visual system to conduct seminars and other small events. The air-conditioned Gallery Hall has the seating capacity of 50 in raised platforms provides comfort and ease to the participants.
Transportation: The college has well organized transport facilities for both boys and girls. There is a separate transport facility for those who wish to spend their time after 5.10 p.m. in the College in utilizing Lab, Library, Sports facilities, etc.
Cafeteria: Cafeteria is one of the favorite spots in the campus with traditional dishes and refreshments available throughout the college hours. It provides hygienic and delicious food and drinks at reasonable price.
Hospital: A well-equipped quality Health Care Centre provides quality health care to the students and staff members at no cost. The centre is well-ventilated with 3 beds and adequate first-aid medical facility. A part time medical officer and a regular health care assistant take care of the sick students.
Hostel Facility
There are separate hostel for boys and girls are provided in the college. Hostel provide the students nutritious and wholesome food and ample convenience for rest and relaxation and unhindered study.The Hostel is provided with fans, tables, cots, chairs, phone facilities etc.
