NR School of Architecture has been a long cherished dream of Directors of Kumaran Charitable Trust, Coimbatore. Registered as a trust in 2010, the Kumaran Charitable Trust aspired to open, establish and maintain schools, colleges and other similar institution for imparting education. As a part of its vision the NR School of Architecture was started in the year 2011.Decision to start a School of Architecture was taken in the meeting of the Kumaran Charitable Trust, chaired by chairman; the various trust members and other representatives at Coimbatore on 5th October 2010.
Library: Library is highly stocked with appreciable volume of architecture books, journals and periodicals thus serving as a dynamic information centre that facilitates the building of intellectual capital of the institution.
Design Studios: The indoor environment is so made that motivates and explores new creative and innovative design ideas. They are well furnished and provides good comfortable working environment.
Model Workshop: Here the students are taught about how the models are used at varying levels in design process/ stages to express their ideas into three-dimensional forms. The ideas are further kindled as some exercises are worked in groups. The best and suitable material for the medium and scale of the model, right techniques are explored and taught here.
Lecture Halls: The halls are not only equipped with high quality sound systems to enable perfect audibility suitable for lectures but also with all necessary teaching aids to have good and effective presentation by the faculties and students.
Audio Visual Hall: AV Hall is acoustically treated and well designed, suitable for all different kinds of presentation. It is equipped with projection screens for varying medium of presentation, audio system for slide shows, video presentations and much more.
