Mount Zion College of Engineering and Technology was inaugurated in the year 2001. It is run by Mount Zion Christian Educational Trust. This trust was formed in 1988 with the sole aim of providing education in the educationally backward district of Pudukkottai. The college since its inception has grown in leaps and bounds and is currently one of the best in the region. It strives to make all those who pass through its portals into innovative, hardworking engineers who will be of use to their places of work and to the society at large. Though young, the college has great plans for the future and the management is determined to transform Mount Zion into one of the best engineering institutions in the world.
Library: The College Library has developed an excellent collection of the latest as well as old volumes, 165 journals comprising of National and International titles and 45 Technical & Non-Technical Magazines. It maintains separate collections of Reference Books, Standards, and Bound volumes of Journals, Technical Reports, and Theses. It also has a collection of over 1000 resource Compact Discs, and Video Cassettes under various titles.
Central Computing Center: Considering the urgency to inculcate in-depth knowledge in computer technology, the college has made computer literacy compulsory for all its students. The central computer centre has over 500 computers. All the computers in the campus are networked. The lab is up-to-date in all respects. Students are given unfettered freedom to experiment and learn in the lab.
Bank: Mount Zion has a tie-up with Corporation Bank. Students will be provided co-branded debit cards for their use. All transactions between the students and college are free of any transaction charges. Forms for opening a new account is available. Contact the Administrative Office for more details.
ATM Services: ATM Services are available on our campus and is open 24 x 7.
Postal Facilities: The Post Office is available on our campus and is open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Telegrams, Money Orders, etc., can be availed at the Post Office.

Mount Zion College offers an extensive residential system. The on-campus accommodation offers the infrastructure necessary for a student to feel at home as well as excel in their academic pursuits. Students who are from distant places or who prefer to spend more time studying than travelling can opt in for hostel accommodation. It supports a productive living and learning experience for students in Mount Zion College Hostel. Professional, full-time staff are available at each residential area to address questions or concerns regarding your room, your roommate, the neighborhood, or the College at large. There are four hostels - 2 for girls and 2 for boys within the college campus.
