SEC was established at Arasampatti near Tirumayam on the Natinal Highway 210,17 kms from Pudukottai and 25 kms from Karaikudi. The college is located in a sprawling campus amidst serene and calm surrounding ideally suited for the pursuit of learning. The idea behind shanmuganathan Engineering college is to help students free themselves from the traditional ways of looking at things and instead constantly question and challenge themselves, society and the world at large. Medical: The College provides medical facility to all its students. A medical check-up is organized to ensure good health for all inmates. A full time medical facility available in the campus.
Internet: Our college has a dedicated internet lab working 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. We give free internet access to our students. We have an 16 Mbps Tier-l International Satellite connectivity and also a 64 kbps leased line plus a 64 kbps ISDN line. The internet can be accessed from more than 900 computers.
Library: The SEC Library consists of a Central Library and 10 departmental libraries which collectively support the teaching and extension programmes of the Institute .It is a fully computerized library with Xerox facility.
