Gnanam School of Business is a unit of the A.Y.S Parisutha Nadar Centenary Foundation, a Public Charities Trust, established on 27.08.2007 which was started with the noble idea of carrying on with the philanthropic activities of the family as espoused by the late A.Y.S Parisutha Nadar himself.
Shri. A.Y.S Parisutha Nadar was a philanthropist in Thanjavur who enjoyed wide spread goodwill for the contribution he has made to the society, especially to the poor and down trodden in the region during his life time. An inspiring figure that stood for principles, he is remembered and honoured till date for his kind hearted nature. He served three terms as M.L.A of Thanjavur. He was responsible for implementing various social welfare measures for the people of Thanjavur. Besides, he was also responsible for bringing a medical college to this region during the 1950's.
Computer Lab: The campus hosts well planned Computer Lab with high end servers, advanced PC’s, Multimedia Systems, High Bandwidth Internet connectivity and Wi-Fi Campus enabling students to have adequate access all the latest standard software packages required by a student in his daily academic life.
Classroom: All classrooms are equipped with multimedia and audio-visual equipment to facilitate effective learning. They are well designed to promote maximum interaction between the faculty and the students.
Library: The beautification of the land adorned with the lawn, clean air, pure water, well thought-out infrastructure, latest technologies and a safe milieu make the institute campus, the perfect place for educational par-excellence with well established air-conditioned library that includes a large number of books, and national and international periodicals.
Open Air Class Room: The Sprawling lush green lawns within the GSB campus are also an ideal setting; creatively landscaped for our students to discuss cases in groups in the cool evenings The campus set in a serene ambience beckons the students to relax and fosters interactive learning. The meadows at GSB form open air discussion zones for both men and women. The ambience enables the students to stretch their legs after day-long continuous classes in the Academic block. In this eco-friendly surrounding the students get fresh air ideal for their additional intellectual pursuits.
Food Court: A common recreational food court of international standard provides the students with cuisines of their choice. The food court comprises a shopping area attached with a cafeteria. The food served is of high quality, nutritious and healthy. Vegetarian and Non-vegetarian food are served separately prepared by expert chefs with prior experience in hotels.
Hostel Facility
GSB campus has separate residences for men and women. The twin sharing accommodation resembles that of a service type apartment. Modern bath fittings, beds, linen, separate wardrobe and desks with built- in book shelves, ergonomically designed seating for the students to work from the residence Wi-Fi enabled rooms that are spacious for just two persons. The rooms are aesthetically illuminated for high degree of reading comfort. The recreational halls in both the residences are provided with gym, wide screen plasma Television, indoor sports such as Carrom and Table Tennis.
