Star Lion College of Engineering & Technology (SLCET) was established in the year 2010 by Srimathi Renganayaki and Sri Sriramulu Educational and Public Charitable Trust for promoting higher education in the remote districts of Southern Tamilnadu.
We are 39 years in education by running Matriculation school, College of Education (B.Ed), Teacher Training (D.T.Ed).
SLCET is approved by AICTE, New Delhi (SRO 2010-1-6588841 dated 2 Aug 2010) and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. It is situated on tanjavur – kumbakonam state high way and is located 10 kms from Tanjavur old bus stand. The college is situated in 30 acres area of full of green. It is functioning in the buildup area of 1, 23,000 square feet.
Library: The digital library functions as a forum for dissemination of knowledge for faculty as well as students.It is an access point for academic repositories such as print, audio, and visual materials,print and many other electronic resources. It houses 2150 titles and 10350 volumes of books and is subscribed with 45 national and international journal.
Language Lab: This laboratory houses the Skill phone-Based Audio Visual and Audio active Language Lab required for modern language teaching.
Cafeteria: The cafeteria is the most preferred place for every person and in addition to satisfying one’s hunger, it serves as a place for various valuable deliberations. The academic potential of an individual is revealed only with a healthy mind and body.
Transport: The college buses will be operated from Kumbakonam, Thanjavur, Vallam, Thiruvaiyaru, Thirukattupaalli, and it should be free of cost for all the students.
Hostel Facility
The college provides excellent, secured and separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls. In order to create a harmonious culture among the students, rules and regulations are formulated and it serves to maintain discipline and moral conduct among students. The warden is the administrative head for each hostel and the Principal functions as a chief warden for all the hostels.
