Shivani College of Engineering and Technology

Shivani College of Engineering & Technology (SCET) is situated in a serene campus on the Trichy-Dindigul Highways. The college is located 12 Kms from the city providing the twin benefits of not being too far as well as being a quiet retreat, away from the distractions of the city, making it ideal for quality education.

Canteen: A Spacious canteen caters to the needs of staff and student community offering good quality food .A departmental store also functions to meet any other needs of the students.
Transport: Adequate transport facilities are being provided for the benefit of students and staff coming from various outskirts of the city. Around 25 college buses ply to transport the students from various places like Trichy town, REC/BHEL, Manapparai, K.K Nagar and Lalgudi. In addition to the Punctual service,the college transport also ensures the safety and security of the students.
Computer Network: This center serves the campus-wide LAN in close association with the user departments. This LAN caters to totally 400 users across the campus and has a 10 Gbps fiber optic backbone . It has a Printer room equipped with 10 high-speed A4 and A3 Network Laser/DOT Matrix Printers (Mono and Color). The centre is maintained by the Computer Support Group (CSG).
Library: The Library is functioning in a separate building having a built up area of 2000 Sqm and it has a seating capacity of 216. The library has more than 62,000 volumes of books covering all disciplines of Engineering and Technology, Science & Humanities and Management.
Auditorium: Fully air-conditioned, with a raked floor and normal seating capacity of 240 , the Auditorium is designed as a multi-purpose theatre. It is ideal for plenary conference sessions and lectures, but can also be used for films and stage performances.
 
 Hostel Facility
There are two separate hostels for boys and girls inside the campus. The respective messes attached to the hostels provide hygienic and quality food. R/O drinking water is supplied, Spacious outdoor and indoor games facilities are provided for the students. A Qualified Medical officer visits the hostels thrice a week to take care of the health of the students. There are separate generators as stand-by for supply of electricity continuously. A vehicle in hostel for emergency use is in place at 24/7 basis.
