Vidyasagar College of Arts and Science

The Managing Trustee of Vidyasagar Educational Trust , Shri.V.Vidyasagar is an octogenarian personality of udumalpet. He is a philanthropist. He was the chairman of Udumalpet municipality from 1955 to 1962.He created the Vidyasagar Educational Trust in 1990 and Vidyasagar college of Arts and Science was built by the trust in 1991. At present he is the managing trustee. Shri V. Vidyasagar has rich experience in the field of higher education.

LIBRARY: The Library of Vidyasagar College of Arts and Science was established in the year 1991. Now it is functioning in a built in area of 1515sqft.It has a spacious reading room with seating accommodation for 50 persons. The Library has over 14123 Volumes of Books covering all disciplines. It subscribes to 31 JOURNALS, 17 MAGAZINES and 10 DAILIES.Back volumes of Journals /Magazines are available, back to 774. Reprographic facility is also available
Computer Centre: Five separate Computer centres are functioning with 320 Pentium IV, Pentium Dual Core and Pentium Core 2 Duo Systems. All the systems are connected with dedicated servers, Online UPS for power backup. Totally 168.5 KVA Generator will produce power energy for nonstop operation.
Communication Lab: A Separate wing is working to improve Students Communicative talents in English. Huge number of conversation cds and dvds are available to learn the communicative talents. Here 60 Wireless Headphone are used to make students privacy and more concentration to learn effectively.
