Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College has found a distinct spot in the educational map of south Tamilnadu. It is a unique Alma Mater to a galaxy of eminent men and women shining in various realms of life in India and abroad. Since its inception in 1974, the institution has been a channel of blessing to the under privileged. It was on 22nd November in 1973, a team of dedicated dignitaries belonging to Naidu Community took the initiative of establishing an Educational Institution. The role-played by Mr.M.Alagarsamy Naidu, President, Tamilnadu Naidu Mahajana Sangam, Mr.K.Rajaram Naidu, member of the Legislative Council of Tamilnadu, Justice R.Rengasamy Naidu, Mr.K.V.Subba Naicker, Managing Director, Sri Ganapathy Mills is commendable. It is through the unstinting efforts and determination of these patrons, Mannar Thirumalai Naicker College blossomed out into a edifice of learning.
Laboratories: The Laboratory provides a platform for the students and serves as a tool for learning and acquiring practical knowledge of a subject. Having this in mind, our institution provide the laboratories with sound environment.
Library: The College Library has an area of 12521sq.ft and it contains 32784 books at present and efforts are afoot to increase the number of books in the forthcoming years.
Auditorium: The college auditorium, which has audio-visual facilities built at a cost of Rs.32 lakhs can accommodate 2000 persons. There is a guest room for VIPs and a green room for the cultural programme artists
GYM: The Gymnasium is well equipped with the gadgets to improve physique and give corrective measures for reducing obesity and to maintain physical fitness.
Net Cafe: Faculty members are allowed to access Internet at free of cost during college working hours. Students can access the Internet from 1.30pm to 4.00pm at nominal charges for their educational needs.
Transport: The College has made proper arrangements with TNSTC authorities and four city buses are operated from the college campus exclusively for girls. Two buses are commuting from College to Periyar bus stand. Also buses to Tirumangalam and Annanagar commutes from the college.
Canteen: There is a canteen in the college premises providing hygienic breakfast, vegetarian lunch, coffee, tea, snacks and refreshments at nominal cost.
Health Center: An experienced doctor is attending the clinic room in the college on all working days. Free health counselling is given to all the students, teaching and non-teaching staffs when it is necessary.
Hostel Facility
The Hostel caters to the needs of the students hailing from the neighbouring villages, towns and other states. The hostel promotes a healthy and congenial environment for communal living. Both Vegetarian and Non-Vegetarian food is provided in the mess.
Medical facilities and recreational facilities are available. Hostel students have the special privilege of learning Hindi. Prayer is conducted every day in the Hostel to inculcate the values of integrity, peace and harmony in the minds of the students. Principal is the Warden and he will be assisted by the Deputy Warden, selected from the teaching staff.
