Manonmaniam Sundaranar University Post Graduate Extension Centre was established in Kanyakumari District on 22nd August 2014 as per G.O. (Ms) No.76, Higher Education (H2) Department, dated 25.05.2012 of Government of Tamil Nadu. The main intention of establishing the Post Graduate Extension Centre in Kanyakumari District was to provide both quality and quantity in Higher Education for the welfare of the rural poor students who have obtained their UG Degree from the affiliated colleges of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University in and around Kanyakumari District.
