Goa College of Home Science (GCHS), established in July, 1988, is the only College of Home Science in the State of Goa. The Goa College of Home Science aims to encourage students to identify life goals, contribute to intellectual, moral and physical development, promote questioning of the status quo, enable them to distiguish between right and wrong, instil a sense of responsibility to society, prepare the student for acceptance of leadership, and instil the courage and the readiness to bear a model to others. Afer all, the ultimate aim of education is to enable the student to be truly Indian, really modern, & and deeply human.
The Institute has well equipped classrooms, laboratories, seminar room, common room, canteen and Library with the required facilities for sports and extra co-curricular activities.
In addition to the academic program, the college places lot of emphasis on extra co- curricular & sports activities so as to promote all round development of the students.
The Students Council organizes various competitions & activities during the academic year. Students also participate in various intercollegiate competition in the state. The Annual Day & the Sports Day are important events.
