The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is one of the few departments functioning from the inception of the university in 1990. The Department is offering M.C.A, M.Sc, M.E., M.Phil. and Ph.D programmes. The M.C.A and M.E. programmes are approved by the AICTE. M.E (CSE) course is accredited by NBA. TEQIP 1.2 grant has been sanctioned to promote M.E(CSE) Course and research activities in Computer Science & Engineering Discipline.

M.E. Computer Science and Engineering | M.Sc. Computer Science | MCA

1 .	M.E. Computer Science and Engineering
	Eligibility B.E. or any other equivalent Engineering degree in Computer Science & Engineering / Information Technology / Electronics & Communication Engineering / Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering / Instrumentation & control Engineering with 55% of marks or First Class in M.C. A.
	Duration 2 Years
	Admission Procedure Entrance Test: Applicants seeking admission to M.E. (Computer Science & Engineering) are required to appear for the Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) conducted by Anna University, Chennai, for the respective year. Previous year TANCET score will not be considered for Admission. Selection: 1. Selection for the M.E, programme will be made based on the TANCET marks obtained for the respective year. Eligible GATE candidates will be given first priority. 2. All the qualified GATE candidates are eligible for AICTE PG Scholarship. 3. Admissions will be made based on Tamilnadu Government reservation policy.

2 .	M.Sc. Computer Science
	Eligibility Bachelor degree in B.Sc. (Computer Sc.) or B.Sc. (I.T) or B.Sc. (S.E.) or B.Sc. (Computer Tech.) or B.C.A. with at least 50% (SC/ST-45%) marks in Part III of this University or any other University accepted by the Syndicate of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University as equivalent in the 10+2+3 pattern.
	Duration 2 Years
	Admission Procedure Entrance Test: Applicants seeking admission to M.Sc. are required to appear for the Entrance Test to be conducted by M.S. University, Tirunelveli for the respective year. Selection 1. Selection for the M.Sc. (C.S) programme will be made based on the entrance test marks. 2. Reservation of seats as per Tamilnadu Government norms.

3 .	MCA
	Eligibility Bachelor degree in any discipline with 55% (SC/ST-45%) marks in Part III of this University or any other University accepted by the Syndicate as equivalent with Mathematics at Plus Two level.

	Admission Procedure Applicants seeking admission to M.C.A., are required to appear for the Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test (TANCET) to be conducted by Anna University, Chennai, for the respective year. Previous year TANCET score will not be considered for Admission.
