The college was established by Jayam Educational trust which is part of Jayam group of institutions. Jayam group of institution is pioneer in establishing collegiate education in Dharmapuri district to impart knowledge to the rural youths in the areas of Engineering, Science, Technical and Education. Jayam Arts and Science College was established in 2015 by Jayam educational trust, Approved by Govt. of Tamil Nadu & Affiliated to Periyar University, Salem.
LIBRARY:The library book materials are arranged in two categories the general collections and reference collections. The library is also having an enormous collection of books on Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Commerce, Business Studies and competitive exams.
