Sri Venkateswara Dental College & Hospital was established in the year 2007. The college is recognized by the Dental Council of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India, and affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University
Lecture Halls: Our institution has lecture halls for each year that are air conditioned and fully equipped with excellent acoustic systems, adequate teaching and learning facilities including audio visual aids, LCD projectors and ample seating capacity.
Library :The central library of the institution serves as the ‘Center for knowledge’ with a seating capacity of 200 – 300. It houses 3260 books with 1097 back volumes. A total of 15 national and international journals are subscribed in the library. Further, it has e-learning resources in the form of EBSCO and ERMED .It has various sections including staff reading room, journal section, reading hall, stack section and photo copying facility .
Laboratory :The entire departments of dentistry are equipped with the state of the art facilities and latest equipments. These laboratories enrich the knowledge of students through practical learning and model simulated teaching from the staffs.
Hospital: Shri Isari Velan Mission Hospital was established in 2012 with the objective of providing affordable health care to the weaker section of the society. Located with the institution campus, it also serves as a teaching hospital for undergraduate dental students.
Communication Facilities: Intercom connections have been provided to the hostels and staff quarters. The students can have access to the admistrative office and securities. Incoming calls from parents to the students are routed through the intercom connections.
Wi-Fi: The hostels and staff quarters are Wi-Fi enabled.
Entertainment facilities: Large TV sets with cable connections have been provided in each hostel and staff quarters.
Mess: The mess in the campus is run through a catering contractor. There are separate dining portions for girls and boys. The mess is provided with latest infrastructure and adequate ventilation and exhaust fans est.,
Transport :Sri Venkateswara Dental College and Hospital operates college buses in different routes to different parts of the city to facilitate ease of transport of the students and staffs to the college.
Temple :The Insitution has an in house temple that is located within the campus showers the blessings of Lord GnanaVinayagar.
Hostel Facility
Sri Venkateswara Dental College and Hospital provide accommodation facilities for both students and staffs. The ambience of these facilities makes them feel at home. The boys and girls hostel have 73 and 143 rooms respectively. Rooms of various sizes that can accommodate two or three or four students are available. Each room is equipped with cot, study table, cupboard, table, chair with good lighting and adequate ventilation. The hostel is supported with 24 hours power back up facility and clean drinking water filtered using R.O system.
