St. John’s College of Physical Education is one of the three Educational Institutions owned by St. John’s Educational Trust, Veeravanallur. The college was started in 2007 as St. John’s College of Physical Education at 1/12, Avanimoola Vinayagar Koil Street by Mrs. E. Mangayarkarasi @ Grace Doris Hannah, who is the founder Manager of St. John’s Institutions.St. John’s College of Physical Education, is situated on the Veeravanallur to Thirupudaimaruthur road, 800 m away from Veeravanallur Bus Stand and 1 ½ km away from Veeravanallur Railway Station. Our College campus and Play ground cover an area of 37 acres.
LIBRARY:To provide reading, lending, reference, information and documentation facilities to all categories of staff and students. The college maintains a good and well equipped library which accommodate 5,000 volumes of books on various disciplines. The library remains open on all working days and the opening hours of the library are from 8.30a.m. to 5.00p.m.
COMPUTER LAB:The college has a good computer laboratory with Broad Band internet connection facilities. The Lab has 30 persona computers with latest configurations especially for the use by the students.
PSYCOLOGY LAB:The college has a separate Psychology Laboratory which has all the required tests and equipments for conducting psychology experiments included in the B.P.Ed. and B.P.E. syllabus. The arrangement of a counseling cabin is also a speciality for us.
LANGUAGE LAB:The Language Laboratory is one of the distinguished features of the college. It is neatly furnished and well equipped with 30 computer systems. Our Language Lab is equipped with CLARITY SNET ENGLISH TEACHING software. The students in general and slow learners in English in particular benefit a lot in enhancing their skills in English through regular and periodical usage.
SCIENCE LAB:Separate science laboratories both for Physical Science and Biological Science with necessary apparatus and equipments are an added advantage to the college.
GROUND FACILITIES: 400 m Track, 200 m Track, Basket Ball Court, Football Field, Kabaddi Court, Hockey Field, Handball Court, Ball Badminton Court, Badminton Court, Tennis Court, Volleyball Court, Khokho Court, Throwball Court, etc.
