Kuvempu Shatamanothsava Shikshana Mahavidyalaya (K.S.S.M) was established on 21-12-2005. It offers a 2 year full time Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree . Recognized by National Council for Teacher Education(NCTE). Government of Karnataka (Order.No:ED 29 URC 2006 Bangalore, dated;19-05-2006) and also affiliated to Kuvempu University. Our Campus is situated in the heart of the Shivamogga city. The college is Co-Educational and with an annual intake of 100 for two basic units of 50 student each from the academic session 2015-16. The college offers perfect Educational Environment for the students as well as teachers for a all-round personality development also to develop and train the students as Emerging and Effective future teachers.
TECHNOLOGY LAB : Consists of modern audio-visual equipments like advanced Multimedia LCD Projector, O.H.P. Slide Projector, Film strip projector, TV with VCR and LCD software like slides, transparencies, audio and video cassettes interactive., C.D’s are available exclusively for students.
COMPUTER LAB: A distinguishing feature of the computer lab has high ratio of computers to students. 15 computers are equipped and connected to a secured local network with Internet access to facilitate ‘Information and Communication Technology’ for B.Ed student to assist the computer literacy. This lab includes Windows 7 and Windows XP Applications, as well as Multi-Media Programming. C.D.’s concerned with Educational programs and C.D.’s of 6th to 10th class syllabus of science, social studies subjects are available for student teachers.
LABORATORIES: Science laboratory has all the equipments and materials which enables the science students to practice the experiments pertaining to their practice teaching.
TEACHING STAFF: Highly qualified and experienced principal and Lecturer are appointed to take all the academic care of the student teachers.
CLASS ROOM FACILITIES: Our classrooms are equipped with PC's, data shows, screens, white boards. Facilities are provided to conduct special programs and training. Different co-curricular activities are organized throughout the year to enable the students to exhibit their multi dimensional talents. The college has the following club to conduct the different co-curricular activities at the college premises.
PSYCHOLOGY LABORATORY:Psychology Lab has many standardized tests of intelligence, emotional in telling, aptitude creativity, anxiety, stress, etc and also personality inventories, in addition to the equipments required for conductions psychological experiments.
Hostel Facility
Good Hostel facility for both Gents and Ladies will be arranged. These hostels are very near to the College and located in must secured place in Shivamogga. These hostels have all necessary facilities and can accommodate all students of our College every year. For each hostel affairs Good Mess facilities are provided on payment.
