Vagdevi college of education was established in the year 2007. It is a private unaided institution managed by Sathpatha Education Trust ® Thirthahalli, which has been rendering pioneering work in the field of higher education . The college provides Two year course of study which leads to the bachelor degree in the faculty of education i.e, B.Ed. It is a co- education institute. The intake capacity of the college is 50. Out of 50 seats, 25 seats will be filled by the government through C.A.C Bangalore. The remaining 25 seats will be filled by the management.
Computer Lab: Computer lab has 25 computers with qualified computer instructor to facilitate computer education for B.Ed. students to assist the computer literacy C.D’s of windows XP, NCTE C.D’S concerned with education. C.D’s of 6th class to 10th class syllabus of science, social studies subjects are available for students with internet wi-fi facilities.
Laboratories: Science laboratory has all the equipments and material which enables the science students to practice the experiments pertaining to their practice teaching.
Library: The library is in charged of a full time- qualified libration , There are more than 10000 books including reference books and encyclopedia for B.Ed course. About 15 journals and periodicals pertaining to education help in enhancing the knowledge of students. The library will be kept open during the working hours of the college and even after the college hours at the time of examination. Well finished and spacious reading room is attached to the library.
Teaching Staff: Highly qualified and experienced principal and lecturers are appointed to take all the academic care of the students teachers.
Psychology Lab: This is well equipped to conduct experiments regarding learning, personality development, memory intelligence aptitude as per the requirements of the B.Ed syllabus.
Classrooms: The college has spacious class rooms, multipurpose hall , Smart Class,Seminar hall ,library with reading rooms separate room for different laboratories, Separate toilet facilities with 24 hours water & electricity facilities and also provided ladies waiting hall & well furnished play ground with sports equipment’s.
Hostel Facility
Good hostel facility for both gents and ladies will be arranged. These hostel are very near to the college and located in the most secured place in Thirthahalli .The hostel have all necessary facilities and can accommodated all students of our college every year. Good Mess Facilites are provided on payment every Month on dividing system.
