The College of Veterinary & Animal Sciences was established in 1960 as one of the constituent Colleges of the first and the foremost agricultural universityof India, the G.B. Pant University of Agriculture and Technology. The College with all its academic activities initially organized in only four departments, has now expanded to accommodate seventeen departments and three independent units including Veterinary Teaching Hospital, Animal BiotechnologyCenter and Animal Disease Diagnostic Center.
