Markham College of Commerce

Markham college of Commerce, Hazaribag with its glorious 40 years (1974-2014) is more than a fiction today, more than aspirations of Hazaribag which initiated Commerce teaching upto degree level at the North Chhothanagpur head quarters for the first time in the history of this Plateau.

College is having high class Library with approximately 19000 titles, 42 well furnished classrooms, state of art teachers common room, a spacious theatre – cum –hall that can easily accommodate some 2000 persons at a time. No college in North Chhotanagpur can boast of such an infrastructure.To cater the Vocational aspirations of the Students, the college started Taxation Laws and Practices (TLP), Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication (BJMC), Medical Lab Technology (MLT) from 2009. Besides the above noted Vocational courses, Nalanda Open University (NOU) is having its full fledged branch in this college campus. That is offering distance education to the students of not only of the North Chhotanagpur region but of South Chhotanagpur region as well.
