College of Forestry, one of the constituent colleges under Kerala Agricultural University, was established in 1986 at Vellanikkara, Thrissur district, Kerala, State, India. The major objective of the college is to provide education in forest science besides undertaking research on basic and applied aspects of tropical forestry.
College Library:College is maintaining a good library where multiple copies of more than 5000 titles of core subjects in forestry are available. These are catalogued both alphabetically and subject wise. Reprographic facilities and computer terminals with internet connectivity are available in the library. The library has a separate civil service exam corner and a collection of bound volumes of all previous question papers of university examinations. Library follows an open access system where each student can come and browse through numerous titles available at his own pace and pleasure.
IT Facilities:All the faculty members and students have good access to computers. A separate computer lab with full time internet facility has been established exclusively for the use of students. Computer facility is also available in the office for administrative and other office related works. All the computers in the College of Forestry network has round-the-clock connectivity through the internet. Wi-Fi connectivity is available in the College.
Instructional Farm: A 20 ha instructional farm comprising of an arboretum, blocks of woodlots, agro forestry experiments, provenance trials of indigenous and exotic species is being maintained by the college. More than 150 tree species, including rare and endangered are planted and maintained in the arboretum. A wood lot of tropical tree species, provenances of exotic acacias, sandal, jatropha (a biofuel species) etc. are maintained separately. These are also routinely made use of for instructional purposes of the students. In addition, a number of other research programmes are also conducted in the farm. A star forest (Nakshathravanam), butterfly park, medicinal, ornamental flowering and foliage trees planted and maintained near the academic block adds to the aesthetic value of the college campus.

Hostel Facility
Hostel accommodation with mess facilities are provided for boys and girls. Periyar, the boys hostel, has a good reading room and indoor game facilities is just a stone’s throw away from the college.
The girl students reside in ladies hostel (Pampa) of the College of Horticulture within the main campus. A separate ladies Hostel (Nila) near the College is provided for the PG students.
